Kruger Park Access Update - 26th January 2026

SANParks has announced that Phalaborwa Gate has re-opened from today 26 January.


Phabeni Gate will re-open tomorrow 27 January 2026.


Visitors will be able to travel between Numbi Gate and Skukuza using the S3 and S4.



Mopani Rest Camp will re-open on Friday 30 January 2025. The restaurant and swimming pool will remained closed.


Letaba, Shingwedzi Rest Camps and Pafuri Border Post remain inaccessible.


Biyamiti and Talamati Bush Camps remain closed whilst Satara Rest Camp and N’wanetsi Picnic Spot are open.


Orpen Gate is still inaccessible and may only be used by overnight guests, emergency services and essential deliveries. Guests going to Orpen are advised to be on the lookout on R40 around Dwarsloop as there are reports of protests on that road.


All gravel roads remained closed until further notice.


Southern and Northern Kruger remain cut off from each other.
