Following the extensive infrastructure damage to the January 2026 once in a generation floods in Kruger National Park, the South African Government has established the South African National Parks (SANParks) Kruger Recovery Fund to expedite recovery and restoration efforts.

The Kruger Recovery Fund is intended to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Kruger National Park and will be administered with strong fiduciary oversight.
